Sonic Hedgehog movie hits theaters on February 14, but his journey has not been easy. The reaction to the original, more "realistic" CGI version of the hedgehog was met with widespread disdain, so the studio decided to redo the character to make it look more like its inspiration. The redesign was a success, although pushed back release date of the film (the studio behind the redesign also closed shortly thereafter).

Sonic has been a household name since the 90s, so it was an inexhaustible source of toys, stuffed animals, and gossip random available for purchase. However, the film Sega's Sonic gives another opportunity to push Sonic merchandise in both old and new fans. Since we're only about a month theatrical debut of Sonic, you can bet Merch film is beginning to appear in stores. We have to say: The Merch revealed so far is ... strange.

Sonic the Hedgehog [b] is a comedy adventure movie 2020 [12] [13] based on the video game franchise published by Sega. The film is directed by Jeff Fowler (in his directorial debut) from a screenplay by Pat Casey and Josh Miller. He is starring Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog and Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik and James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, and Neal McDonough. In the movie, Sonic teams up with local Sheriff Tom Wachowski city to find and recover their lost rings and escape Dr. Robotnik.
In 2013, Sony Pictures acquired the film rights to the franchise, and by 2014, had a film adaptation in developing, in collaboration with the Japan-based study of Sega Sammy Marza Animation Planet. Fowler was hired to direct in 2016. After Sony put the project on the other hand, Paramount Pictures acquired in 2017, and most of the actors had signed in August 2018. Filming took place between September and October 2018, Ladysmith and Parksville both Vancouver island and in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It was originally planned to be released in the US on November 8, 2019, but after an overwhelmingly negative reaction to the first trailer, Paramount delayed the film to redesign Sonic, whose original design was widely criticized. The redesign is shown in a new trailer with new onset receiving praise Sonic.
Sonic the Hedgehog premiered at the Paramount Theater on January 25, 2020, and was released in US theaters on February 14, 2020. The film received mixed reviews from critics, [14] with praise of proceedings of the cast (particularly Carrey) of sonic design, visual effects and fidelity to the original material, but the plot and criticism for its perceived lack of originality. [15] [16] Despite this, the film has received acclaim from the public, with a score of audience 94% on Rotten Tomatoes over 10,000 verified qualifications. [17] The film set the record for the biggest opening weekend for a movie based on the video game in the United States and Canada.
